I've been an avid collector and connoisseur of the Art Deco period for many years. I specialise in locating and retailing quality items that are not only highly desirable and collectable, but extremely exquisite and in pristine or near pristine condition. I do quite often have stalls at various antique and collectable fairs around the country, to see the next antique fair that I will be exhibiting at please click here. Next Fair: The National Glass Fair, at the NEC Motorcycle Museum, Sunday 8th MAY
Item Descriptions and Photographs
I always provide an accurate description of each item along with dimensions and weight wherever possible. The photographs displayed on this website are of the actual item for sale. (They are not just 'stock photos').
If you need to ask further questions before purchasing please feel free to make contact via the submissions form.
Payment can be made via Paypal, I've found that this affords a high level of protection for both my customers and myself. When you click on checkout you will be re-directed to the secure PayPal website, where you can log on as normal and pay for your items.
I would always prefer that the items are collected in person for the obvious reason that all my items could be damaged in transit as they are fragile. Rest assured that I take the time to package my items extremely well and they will need a signature upon arrival. For further information please read the terms and conditions section.
The postal charges for the UK are applied automatically when you add an item into your shopping cart, if no postal cost is shown, then that item will be posted out to you free.

Verlys glass originated in France in 1931 as part of the Societe Anonyme Holophane Les Andelys. Verlys of America was established in 1935 a wholly owned subsidiary of Holophane Lighting Company, Inc, located in Newark, Ohio. This glassware was produced from 1935 to1951. Verlys of America purchased molds from Holphane Francaise, the French company. The signatures applied to these pieces indicate which company produced them. Verlys of America was the only company to pen etch their signature. Some were also signed in the mold, but Verlys only. The French Verlys was always signed in the mold, in one of three ways, "A Verlys France", "Verlys France", or Verlys Made in France". Note that the word "France" is always included in the signature, denoting country of origin. Verlys of America ceased operations in 1951
